On Race Day
What Happens Before and After the Race
- Listen to your body, if you're not well on the day - please don't run - there will be plenty of other races
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Stick to your tried and tested diet on race day; 10th October is not the day to experiment
- Make sure your friends know your race number and likely finishing time
- If you drop out notify the nearest marshal/first aid point so supporters waiting for you can be informed
- Start the race well hydrated and drink whenever you can, especially in the first half of the race, but do not gulp down large volumes of liquid.
- At the finish do not stand about getting cold - keep walking and drink as much fluid as you can
- Change into dry warm clothes as soon as possible
- Keep on drinking and have something to eat
- Running a half marathon is a serious business and not to be taken lightly. Don't be foolhardy, respect the race, respect your life

Chip Timing
Chip timing will be used for the Half Marathon and the Multi-terrain. Each Half Marathon and Multi-terrain entrant will receive a pack before race day.
The chip will be detected as you cross the finish line, and your time and race number will be recorded automatically. Please keep moving once you have crossed the finish line and clear the finsih area as soon as possible. There will be collection points for race chips. Staff will be able to assist you.
Race Numbers
Make sure that your number is displayed vertically and not folded when finishing. Please make sure that you are wearing your own race number and under no circumstance should you allow someone else to run with your number. Any runner found to be using the number of another runner will be liable for disqualification.
If you should arrive on the day without your race number please report to registration which will be located in the Nationwide Pavilion (sign posted).
Registration
There is no on-the-day registration available for the Half Marathon.
On-the-day entry is available for the Multi-Terrain and the Fun Run. Please report to the registration point located in the Nationwide Pavilion (sign posted). Please note registration will close at 10:30 prompt.

Please remember not to bring any vauables with you to the event. If you bring your mobile phone, please switch it off before you leave your bag.
