Race Reviews 2012 - Page 4

Hi, just wanted to let you know that this was the first time I’ve run this half marathon and even though it wasn’t my best time it was by far the best course and scenery I’ve done. I did Cricklade last week and Bristol the week before I’ve also done Brighton half as well. I’d give this 10 out of 10 for organisation, friendliness, marshalling, happy smiley encouraging water and fuel station volunteers, value for money, great medal, nice t shirt, and goody bag.....what more can i say excellent!!! I will be back next year sporting the new sponsor heart foundation logo. I have heard the course may change too, I hope not too much though. The people of Wanborough, Liddington and Badbury all deserve a mention for a good loud cheer they gave us all going past too...

Scenery: Can't comment as I am visually impaired. Atmosphere: 10 Organisation: 10 Value For Money: 5 (thought the goodie bags very poor)
Comments: I did enjoy the race. Whether I will be back: depends what life has in store. Everyone was so kind and patient. It's great that you allow walkers like me as well as runners.

Overall Score 9 Scenery 9 Atmosphere 9 Organisation 10 Value for money 9 Did you enjoy the race? Yes Did you run a personal best? No but I'm just back from injury Did you raise money for charity? No Will you be back? Yes
Comments: A great local race. It's good to get the worst of the hills behind you by half way! But Marlborough road is a bit of a killer towards the end. I missed it last year due to Injury so it was good to be back. I like the new red t-shirts, could we consider technical ones in future? I'd gladly pay a few £s extra. A change in route would be good maybe taking in a bit more of surrounding countryside and villages. Why not consider bringing back the full marathon? Thanks for a great day

Comments: This was my second half, having completed Bristol 2 weeks ago. I know I did a PB, but everything about the event seemed better and more enjoyable, so a huge thank you to everyone who made it possible. See you next year

Comments: Would have been good to have better signage for new competitors – we found our way to the start but if I’d had to get a chip for my shoe had I been in the Half or Multi-Terrain I wouldn’t have known where to go as I couldn’t see any signs!

Comments: Have recently come back from maternity leave from the Army and my fitness has dropped. Also, as Miss Wiltshire Galaxy I love participating in charity events. Had an enjoyable day with my fiancé, Michael Holmes of MH Tree Services (he ran the multi terrain) and my fellow beauty queen, England's Perfect Miss, Hannah Golding. Will be doing the half marathon
