Half Marathon, Multi-Terrain and Fun Run
The Nationwide Swindon Half Marathon, Multi Terrain and Fun Run attracts seasoned runners and novices from all over the country, county and of the Borough of Swindon.
This FUN community based event, part of the Challenge Swindon initiative, gives everyone an opportunity to take an active part in one of the runs detailed below. Whether running competitively or for fun, there is something to suit every age and ability.
Half Marathon - Chip Technology Timing
A challenging, hilly course on roads over 13.1 miles through scenic countryside over the Wiltshire Downs. The Half Marathon takes in quiet country lanes starting and finishing at Nationwide Building Society, Pipers Way, Swindon, SN3 1TA. Participants must be 17 years or over on the day of the race.
Multi-Terrain Run - Chip Technology Timing
For this run of nearly 5 miles, the course takes in Coate Water Country Park and is suitable for all levels of ability with the emphasis on fun and personal achievement. Participants must be 15 years or over on the day of the run.
Fun Run
At approximately 2 miles, the fun run is for all the family. The course is exclusively on roads and footpaths. Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult who has also entered this run.

The Multi-Terrain route distance has increased to approximately 5 miles. The route takes in more of Coate Water Country Park and also goes through the Polo Ground exiting out onto Downsview Road.
