Corporate Challenge Sponsored by Nationwide
Is your business ready for the Nationwide Half Marathon Corporate Challenge?
The Nationwide Corporate Challenge is a team event for businesses, designed to help build teamwork across departments and fitness within the workplace. Runners compete as individuals alongside the general public entrants, whilst also representing their team and business. The challenge is open to employees and owners of all UK registered businesses, including HM forces and government departments.
If you would like to enter a business team (teams should be split male and female) all you need to do is elect a team captain who will email the team name (and company name) e.g. Leisure Services, Swindon Borough Council, plus the complete list of entrants to:

- Each team member completes their own individual entry - either on-line or by postal application.
- A minimum of 4 members (all male or all female) is required to make up a team, there is no limit to the number of runners or teams representing a particular business
- There will be 3 winning prizes
- The fastest corporate team – male & female teams
- The fastest corporation overall - male & female teams
- The corporate team who raise the most money for charity
- The fastest corporate team will be calculated by taking the finish times of the first 4 runners of a team to cross the line. The team with the lowest aggregate finishing time will be the winner.
- The fastest corporation overall will be calculated by taking the finish times of the first 4 runners from a business (can be from different teams) to cross the line. The business with the lowest aggregate finishing time will be the winner.
- The fastest winning teams will be notified during the week following the event.
- A prize will be awarded to the corporate team who raises the most money for charity. Teams will be required to submit the amount they have raised on race day. Receipt from the charity must also follow by 31st December 2011. Winners will be announced in January 2012.
- Entry to the Corporate Challenge is open to employees, & proprietors of any UK registered business or corporation, including HM forces & government departments.
- Minimum age 17 years old on race day
- A full list of results will be posted on the Half Marathon website.
- All finishers are eligible for prizes in the open race
- All entries for the corporate challenge are to be received by Friday 30th September

Athletics Clubs' Team Event (Half Marathon)
In the Athletics Clubs' Team Event runners compete as individuals whilst also representing their Athletics Club.
- Event is open to all UKA affiliated clubs.
- Each team member completes their own individual entry - either on-line or by postal application, ensuring they add their club name.
- Minimum age 17 years old on race day.
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes awarded to male and female teams (no mixed teams).
- Clubs are eligible to collect one male team prize and one female team prize only.
- We require competitors to wear official club vests.
- First 3 finishers from a club in each category (male/female) constitute that clubs team.
- Finishing positions will be decided on cumulative times for the three team members.
- There is no limit to the number of runners representing a club.
- The winning teams will be notified during the week following the event.
- A full list of results will be posted on the half marathon website.
- All finishers are eligible for prizes in the open race.
